Website for Jeehee Yoo

Jeehee Yoo intertwines traditional Korean paper with recycled materials to explore the interplay of time, space, absence, and presence. By repurposing discarded remnants into new forms, she metaphorically addresses the flow of time and the surrounding voids. Inspired by negative space in East Asian art, she contemplates emptiness and absence, conveying ambiguity, evoking a sense of dreamlike melancholy, and grasping at the edges of vaguely remembered sensations. The website speaks to Jeehee's visual language with a custom typeface cursor trail, and an interactive gallery moving based on the mouseposition. (on scroll for mobile)
